The M48 is a grenade launcher designed by Weapon System Technologies to replace the M319 Individual Grenade Launcher in all branches of the UNSC Defense Force. Based on grenade launchers of the late 20th Century and throughout the 21st, the M48 is a six-shooter launcher, using a revolver-type system. It can deliver an impressive 12 rounds per minute, devastating enemy infantry and light armor.
