The BR95 Heavy Barrel Service Rifle is a selective fire service rifle of the United Nations Space Command, introduced in 2575. Designed to replace the BR85 Series, the BR95 Battle Rifle has become standard-issue along side the MA6 MCWS. The BR95 is essentially an improved BR85HB SR, featuring better accuracy, frictionless barrel coating and full select-fire options. It also draws from design features from the M392 Series, further improving its long-range capabilities. The BR95HB SR continues to bridge the gap between smaller caliber weapons such as submachine guns and assault rifles and heavier weapons using large rounds like .50 BMG and 14.5x114mm in accuracy, power, and mobility. Utilizing a 9.5x45mm high velocity, full power rifle round, the BR95 is able to effectively engage shielded or armored infantry targets at short, medium and semi-long ranges. While the rifle does not feature the same modularity as the MA6, it does feature an upper and lower CES rail, though in its standard configuration, these are equipped with a carrying handle and a handgrip, as well as a 2x holographic/telescopic hybrid sight.
