The BR90 Carbine Rifle is a shortened variant of the BR95 Battle Rifle. The primary carbine weapon of the UNSC Defense Force, the BR90C is issued to vehicle crews, Special Forces operators, and close-quarters specialists for its excellent stopping power at medium ranges in a compact model. Chambered for a new 6.8x43mm round, the BR90C has controllable recoil and reliable maneuverability, making it a popular alternative to full-length rifles. During testing, it even beat out carbine prototypes of the MA6 MCWS for its overall versatility and reliability.
